Stop taking the piss, and leave Nuño alone, even if a 27th thread about Moonings/Jupiters/planets et al is getting up your nose.

It is my instinct that most of us have at some stage been in a position when we dithered about purchasing kit possibly due to price considerations.
I know when I purchased my Dual 505/NAD 3020/ Mission 700s in around 1982 I dithered for ages about £10 price differences. I also was very concerned about my choice of speakers as What HiFi preferred Kef Codas to Mission 700s, the fact that my ears told me something different concerned me.
I doubt anyone is actually bored with Nuno as because we had those experiences it brings back memories.
I am sure also that Nuno would not mind the above poll being filled out.. he could then see what people think he should go for which is information that I believe he is seeking.
The question as put was designed to be funny (I am sorry if it does not appeal to your sense of humour), it was not however designed to take the piss.

I think Nuno wil by a Linn CD 12.
The reason for this is based own my own experiance buying a CD player.
I procrastanated so long over buying either nothing, or a seond hand old style planet, buy the time I decided, I could afford an almost new PLanet 2000, which I bought
With this in mind, I belive that by the time Nuno makes uop his mind, he will be able to afford a CD12.
That would be very flat earth.

BSP,
the poll is incomplete. There should be an option for people who don't know yet.

Did I say jury? I meant Nuno.

Ah yes, what a cunuñodrum! because if you listen to all the candidates, you'll never be able to know which one will sound 'best' when you get it home and in the system. It's like voting in a French Presidential election, you have such a choice in the first round, and then after ....

Nuno says that he is ready to purchase in September. Geoff A says he'll land in Lisbon in September with a boxed CD5.
There is your answer.

Belsizepark has already explained that this thread is not intended to take the piss out of Nuno.
In fact, Nuno should find all of this very useful to him in his quest to find an entry-level musical CD player.
I salute him for moving (relatively) quickly from budget "hi-fi" to budget music reproduction even if he does ask endless questions on the same topic.
Regards,
Steve.

It´s not easy in few months understand what is "music reproduction"!OK some of you can define a sistem as having pace, rithm and play the tune !This are new concepts for me,but OK it´s not a argue to repeat all the same questions!
Like you I think that CD 5 has a amazing sound! It´s a real thrill! But soon the price will increase in local Naim dealer´s 10%,if I´ve got the money I will purchase it today and everything goes all rigth! Now it´s a decision that I shall take in the future!

10% sounds like robbery considering the UK increases were about 2%. The price in France is c. 2100€ for comparison. The CDX is c. 3860€.
Maybe you should be patient and buy Geoff A's ?

The price here for cd 5 is 1 950 Euros.Will be 2 100 Euros too!It´s because Naim´s dealer has the same price for a year,I think!Júpiter is 1 750 Euros!It will increase 50 Euros!But Naim´s dealer is all rigth,he give me payement facilities
P.S. Geoof if I can get the money in September I will tell you !But probably just in October!

I've just noticed that Nuno has now asked the "Source First" question. How long will it be before the question of supports raises it ugly head?
Nuno's indecision and the stands debate anyone?

You keep at it.. hopefully when you do get a new cd player, you will believe it to be worth the wait. My advice would then be to disappear from this forum or you have people telling you to purchase a CDX before the CD5 or Rega has even had time to warm up.. And if you get a CDX they wil advise you to get a XPS.
If I were you, buy the CD player (whatever one you want).. come back and tell us what you did and how pleased you are with it.. then disappear.. your bank balance will thank you for it...

Very James Bond. And how's her mastery of Ukranian, to name but a tongue?
