I think Nuno has this forum well sussed. He is now asking about speakers knowing that the responses will be about source first so he can then continue mulling over which CDP to buy.

Is quite possibly an alter ego for one of the regulars??

Imagine the fun of winding the forum whenever you feel like it and then coming on like a White Knight and sorting it all out...

Good fun for some

. . . on your new spinner. You have a sistem to be proud of, as well as having contributed both interesting debate and a new custom on spelling to the forum.

Good luck with the machine.

Congratulations Nuno...

It will get better the longer you play it, that's a promise.

Now what have you got your sistem sitting on?

I just scanned through this thread with some amusement. It appears that there are some posters that appeared to be losing patience with Nuno's decision making process. But if you want to see real perseveration, you should check out the OS X Odyssey at the Applelinks website. The author, Charles Moore, has been documenting his attempts to upgrade his old Powerbook notebook computer to Mac OS X from Mac OS 9 on a near daily basis, and is at number 214 in the series. He is at the point where he fully admits that Mac OS X would probably run without a hitch on a notebook that is more up to date and has more RAM and hard drive space, but then goes back to wondering why he experiences a slowdown when his old notebook starts running out of disk space. He has stated that the most basic iBook would probably suit his upgrade needs.

At least Nuno knew he would wind up with a better CD player after his decision was made, but just needed time to make the decision. Charles Moore knows what the solution to his problem is -- he just seems to be reluctant to take the step.
