No way, the poligon chap gets to do that...

Well, Edo, you have to agree Higgy's got something going. So does Mr Polignon, but his downside is he actually buys stuff, rather than post endless queries.

So I say let's have a Nuño contest. We need a new Nuño.

It's going to be tough; contenders need to have stamina, interesting grammar and no mean degree of obtuseness. Remember it took Nuño 250 posts to get to the point where he could claim to have bought the CD5.

Bravo Nuno !

Now you can enjoy most of goods of a little Naim system, and I hope that you will now be more in front of your stereo than by the keyboard.
Now you can concentrate about changing your speakers, but don't write so much posts about that because of some people here who's trying to make a fool of you and treat you as an anorak. That people, some or one of them gain a very unfrendly trend here.
Ofcourse, choice is yours, but that is just advice.
Have a good listening,

Ozren

Ozren,

perhaps you mistake humor and teasing for unfriendliness?

Nuno

Congratulations on the purchase of your CD5.

I think you should now look at a CDX. Very nice machine.

Herman !

Did I said something to you ?
I think not.
Anyway, aren't you to old for junior school jokes? You are almost fifty, didn't you?
Please, stop hermanized us with so infantyl posts. I was expected a higher degree of comunication with you.
Take a break, get some coffee and everything will be fine.
Peace man!
Have a nice day,

Ozren

You really got me now, higgy... Take a little time to browse through herm's postings and discover how very little the number of his opinions posted here has been. You might doubt his relevance, but the point you make above isn't quite applicable...

Cheers,

Edo

Ozren,

Might I reinforce that some people don't need other people to make a fool out of them? But then again, that doesn't need any reinforcing, apparently. At all.

Cheers,

this whole asking others for advice would not come into it if I was the mighty Herm for whatever I said would be correct yes

Higgy,

I second Edo's post -- Herman even admits to not being that knowledgable when it comes to hifi. He's here mainly to have a laugh with people who share the same hobby, as are many. Perhaps you could dispute the funniness of his posts, but I don't quite understand how you arrive at the above inference.

Thomas

Higgy,

this is interesting.

I see you're really serious about donning the Nuño mantle. I admire the way you go about it.

A less ambitious proto Nuño would just pepper his post with a lot of exclamazio marks etc you however go the opposite direction by shunning most ways of interpunction I like that even though it makes it very hard to figure out what your saying but I think we had already established that this is not about substance it's about havin a lil fun so I'm hoping your going to see the fun of this soon.

Herman

Oh oops I see your asking about my school experiences now (apart from asking edo about me) i sure hope this is not turning into some kind of obsession however as ozren pointed out i'm a very old person in fact by all counts i oughta be dead so its very hard to remember anything about my schooldays i even forgot how to spell as you can tell mostly i remember my favorite girls there were three i used to walk home not all three together abviously one was blond even though her folks were italian one was brunette and the other was sort of in between and she was smartest so you see i didn't have a lot of time to spend with the boys either to bully or be bullied sorry. ps this was grade school more later at request

Well I enjoy herm's junior school jokes, even when he is committing the cardinal sin of disagreeing with my taste in music or interpreter.

I hope I'm never too old to be infantyl!

How old do you have to be before you have to stop being infantile!!!!

Higgy,

Be cool, relax, take it easy. Try to see the fun of Nuno's indecisiveness, try to see the fun of Nuno being tickled. Also, acknowledge Herm's right of a non-existent opinion of his own.

Cheers,

Edo

PS If your reply has no interpunction, I refuse to read it.

continental backstabbing

Edo: "You might doubt his relevance"

Thomas: "Perhaps you could dispute the funniness of his posts"

And these guys want me to join their Continental Barbecue!

Herman

disclaimer: this post is irrelevant and not irresistibly funny

herm,

If you can resist a "Festhaustisch mit Bierbänken", let me know.

Many of us have been guilty of ribbing Nuno at times about his indecisiveness, not just Herm. Herm, at his best, is one of the few here who have made me laugh, I guess his tone sometimes gets lost in the medium.

Nuno is now a Forum legend and is likely to be cited whenever anyone shows any signs of prevarication. Indeed his influence has spread beyond the Forum itself. I often compose postings in a text editor and spellcheck them before posting them. Indeed, 'sistem' is now in my dictionary and probably in documents I have written in the course of my work. I could even change my job title to 'Sistem Architect'.

Nuno seems a good bloke, he saw the funny side of these, mainly, gentle jokes at his expense and indeed joined in many of the threads (I'm sure that Nuno is as disappointed as the rest of us that 'The Airport Scene' never happened).

An alternative could be that he actually bought the CD5 months ago but kept on posting here so that people would continue to talk to and about him (like one other member I could mention, but won't, who seems to demand to be the centre of attention regardless of the topic).

Just trying to introduce Higgy to the concept of dialectics (to keep him from fighting the windmills).

Thomas,

It's hard to believe that my life was also good before I knew you. You made my day.
