Top-quality cordless phone - Recommendations

Posted by: winkyincanada on 11 February 2010

We are heartily sick of our cheapo cordless phone. Poor connection, short battery life, poor SQ, cheap feel.

Does anyone recommend a top-quality cordless? (North American compatible/available)

Siemens Gigaset c475. Siemens are very good quality and reliable we have found.

I've been buying (through a misplaced loyalty) BT cordless products we are on set 3 now, and I'm still not happy, would seem to be time to break away.

I don't need an answerphone 1571 copes with that.

For a price and their products are usually pretty not practical.

Lontano what is the colour scheme and clarity of the display like, please?
Do you know if it can be operated without the answerphone activated?

#2 for what Lontano has posted - but also have a look at panasonic.
I like large buttons and a clear display - with excellent tone from the earpiece.
Both do these well.
Having replaced several sets at both home & office thats what got our vote.
Some out there look stunning and qute - but simply do not work well at all.

Howard, the C470 is the version without answerphone. Look here at all the other without answerphone offerings

I have been very impressed with the phone and with the use Mrs Lontano gives it, it has been outstanding. Only thing that has gone wrong was when Mrs L dropped one in the bathwater whilst yabbering to her twin. Did not work after Winker

It has also worked well for conference calls etc as well.

Colour display is excellent - mainly white with some nice blues. And I think you can change that is that is not your colour.
