A couple of Serve/Qute/app questions...
Posted by: Nick B on 28 September 2010
Hi all,
Have had a 'Serve-SSD and NDAC in place for 5 days and am enjoying the upgrade from my CD5i-2 hugely - it has prompted a few of questions that I hope someone on the forum can answer:
1) Is there a way to view a list of Songs/Tracks via the n-Serve app in the same manner that albums are currently listed ?
2) In the DTC, Tools, System Settings, General section - what is the effect of adding a folder into the list of Compilation Folders ? I can't determine any difference in the way compilations are handled and I would really like to be able to tag an album as a compilation and then assign different artists to each track.
3) I'm thinking of buying my brother a 'Qute for Christmas - would it be possible to setup a new Music Store or Network Share on a second NAS (with inbuilt UPnP), rip his CDs to this via my 'Serve, disconnect the second NAS and give it to him, along with a 'Qute. Would the 'Qute be able to see the music on the NAS via the n-Stream app ?
Thanks for reading !
