Went "up west" last night to Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club (in itself, a first) and sat a mere 20 feet away from "Billy Cobham, The Greatest Drummer In The Known Universe" whilst he plied his awesome trade...

INTENSE just doesn't cover it.

Briefly met the Great Man afterwards, to get my CD signed.

Woke up this morning, smiling.

Kinda puts all the other microscopic nonsense into proper perspective, know what I mean, forumites? Winker Cool Smile

Winky, have you been to The Cellar on Broadway near Alma? I've seen some great shows there.

Not quite Vancouver but for those in the Houston area then McGonigals Mucky Duck has a great range of live music and musicians.

Dimitriou's Jazz Alley in Seattle is worth the drive. I've seen several tremendous shows there (Cedar Walton Trio was the best so far). I have my eye on the Martin Taylor show next month...
