Power off makes sense!

Hi there,
Does "leaving my hifi constantly on power" really shorten resp. avoid the process of warming up to the point when it sounds best? During the last few weeks I tried this out and realised that it still needs some time till best performance.
On the other hand I also had the feeling that I really miss the process of warming up. (each time a one hour upgrade!)
So my conclusion is: Power OFF makes me more looking forward to powering on my gear....
