OH man, huge nostalgia download...

Coltrane was where it ALL started for me - nearly 30 years ago now. This little record shop in Oxford had a deal with some (probably dodgy) supplier and had loads of cheap manufacturer's reject US Impulse pressings. They had XS surface noise or the odd glitch or whatever but we didn't care (the height of the fi wasn't much of an issue back then). My mate persuaded the dude in the shop to give him first refusal on the contents of any new shipments. And we got into some serious (stoning and) listening...

So, anyway, you'll want 'em all in the end so just buy 'em all because they're all brilliant. Well most of 'em anyway. What exactly is your problem with Favourite Things? Have you heard any of the live versions? - if not, go there NOW.

This was supposed to be a reply to Nick Lees' Coltrane thread.
