Criminal taste in music

Posted by: polyphemos on 05 April 2010

Upon discovering that someone has hacked my iTunes account, changed my address from Yorkshire to China, changed my account language from Yorkshire to Chinese, authorised another computer on my account and spent $540 on iTunes from my registered CC, I see that the fraudster's purchases, hopefully at the expense of my CC company rather than my own, include Lady Gaga and Timbaland. Why am I not surprised?
iTunes has emailed me to say "The iTunes Store cannot reverse the charges."
The irritating thing is that iTunes is now recommending that I purchase further music of these genres.

An all too common problem. This happened to me once as well. However if your CC company approves your claim then iTunes should remove the purchases at their behest. This is what happened in my case though it was before they introduced genius recommendations.
