Wikileaks

Yeah, but it's hardly news is it..?

Torygraph sums it up well

"...the fact remains that it's a collection of little substance that will do nothing to reshape geo-politics. The Saudis would like someone to whack Iran? No kidding. Afghanistan is run by crooks? Really? Hillary Clinton would like to know a lot more about the diplomats she is negotiating against? You surprise me. The Russian government may have links to organised crime? Pass the smelling salts, Petunia. The Americans are secretly whacking al-Qaeda operatives in Yemen? What, you thought the Yemenis were doing it? Muammar Qaddafi has a full time, pneumatic Ukrainian 'nurse'? Nice one. Diplomats are terrified of Pakistan's nukes? Me too. And so on, ad infinite boredom."

Never mind that, what's Prince Andrew been up to?

Dammit, just some rude, foul mouthed behaviour at a business lunch. I was rather hoping he'd tried to slip Hilary Clinton one, or something like that.

Well that accounts for six of the cables.

What about the other 251,281. Roll Eyes
I can’t believe people are taken in by such drivel.

Obviously there are problems with security and it's only right that that's exposed. However that's as far as it should go as far as I'm concerned. Anybody who thinks governments can conduct business on a completely open basis, particularly in today's political climate is naive to the point of stupidity. Either that or there are ulterior motives.

So you quote an opinion piece from the telegraph without a link to the article. http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/n...ing-but-not-serious/

And why not this quote "The Wikileaks story is great fun." ?

Did you really expect the telegraph to be suggestng that you buy the guardian?

Wikileaks was hit by a distributed denial-of-service before it released the secret US embassy cables

I'm fascinated by the reaction of the politicians who actually said all that nonsense.

Now they are claiming that exposing these insults is dangerous to politics. Well, how about not bad-mouthing others?

Personally I couldn't care less. It's doesn't change my opinion about Politicians.

And I am not sure which dominates right now: laughter or anger. After all, these people are supposed to decide the fate of the civilized world Roll Eyes
