Best stage (live - not TV) comedian I ever saw was Tommy Cooper, he made me hurt with laughter.

just like Robin Williams when he's at his best ...

Robin Williams made you laugh? When was that? And what had you been smoking?

None of his movies, but when he's either doing stand up or interviewed.

Just out of interest Kevin, who do you find side-splitting ?

Of American comedians (stand-ups), Richard Pryor, early Steve Martin, |Woody Allen, Chris Rock, Bill Hicks - the usual suspects. I also like people such as Laurel & Hardy, George Burns, Jack Benny, Phil Silvers, sitcoms such as Curb, Seinfeld, Family Guy, Frasier, Rodney Dangerfield(!)

Robin Williams I detest because of his pointless hyperactivity. I've never found him funny - on film, interviews or on stage - just really, really annoying.

From Blighty, I like Pete & Dud, Python (the films more than the TV series), The Thick of It, Alan Partridge, The Office, Extras, Chris Morris, Carry Ons, Porridge, Rising Damp, Dad's Army, Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads?, Phoenix Nights/Peter Kay, Till Death us Do Part, Reggie Perrin, Hancock, Fawlty Towers, Only Fools, Blackadder, etc etc

My favourite comic actors (as opposed to comedians) are Ronnie Barker and Sid James (hyuk). Big Grin

The greatest, funniest comedy bfilm of all time has to be This Is Spinal Tap
