Very sad news about the passing of him and his great talent: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7275162.stm

I'm shocked! I remember the first time I saw Jeff Healey playing the guitar across his lap back in the late eighties and was amazed anyone could play that way. I bought 'See the Light' in 1989 and still think it is his best album.

He was an amazing guitarist.

Christ, he didn't have much luck in life. I'll have to put See The Light and Hell To Pay on tonight. I haven't played them for 15 years.

Why didn't BigH let us know?

Sad day, truly a genuine voice of guitar. I had the pleasure of seeing him 3 times, and met him in '89 and talked guitars and tones.
I too will be spinning some of Jeff's work tonight.

Sad news indeed. I had no idea he was ill.

I saw him at the Town & Country club in (I think) 1989 just after "See the Light" was released - storming gig.

So sad. I'd no idea he was so young. See the Light should be heard by anybody into guitar based blues and he must have been barely 20 when he made it.

I agree with all of you. A really talented guy. I had no idea he was still only 41 - obviously a very precocious talent.

Sad news, a very fine player sitting down he was a master. Much too young!
