What 32" LCD/LED TV to Buy

Posted by: piggy on 03 June 2010

Need to replace my 10 year only Sony 28" CRT TV .

Rather then replace it with another Sony are their any other TV's out there at the moment that anyone can recommend?

Going to keep it separate to my Naim gear so wouldn't mind anyone's view on what TV sound's half decent as my existing telly sounds surprisingly good. Will connect it to my Playstation and either use the Virgin box or connect it to my aerial that I had installed a few years ago.

Thanks for any recomendations.

I bought this Philips 32PFL5604H here, with reviews here.

Good picture quality from Samsung DVD-H1080 player, with acceptable sound.

Awaiting Loft aerial kit, so no comment on TV broadcast quality yet.

Saw the Philips TV's a little while ago and like the deisgn of them so will check this model out.

Gues my budget would be anything between £600/£700.

Thanks

The Philips 32PFL7404H is a better TV available here and has better reviews here & here.

Thks Dennis looks a really good price £485 and the reviews look favourable.

Also just looked at Amazon and they are offering 10% discount off certain Sony TV's if you purchase before 7th June. Looking at the spec of the KDL32EX503U it looks similar to the Philips but also has Wireless Internet. Just need to think if I would really use this feature.

I hesitate to refer you to Comet, but their website has various Sony models with reductions if you trade-in your old TV. Makes them cheaper than Amazon ATM.
