I have an HHB 850 (all made by Pioneer I think) that I have used for burning CD's. It works quite well and is suprisingly good as a stand alone CD player (for $1K). I've had it for a year and have burned several hundred CD's. Great for copies for the Car.
For the most part the copies are indistinguishible from the original, depending of the playback kit. I have had several occasions where there have been noticeable downgrades in making a copy. This seems to be resolved by changing the CD blank brand. I have not yet found a brand that is consistently good.
The quality of the HHB unit is excellent and the controls are well thought out. The remote is a bit simple, but it is adequate. Don't like the purple color much either.
A lot easier that burning them as WAV files in the computer and much better results.
