50 today and the promise of a record cleaning machine
Posted by: Malcolm Davey on 30 August 2002
Well today I achieve a milestone (I guess) and to celebrate I'm:
Putting the ARO back on having rebuilt the Manastand and going to play some vinyl
Going to the POW to have a splendid pint or two
GOING TO BUY A RECORD CLEANER - probably the HW 16.5 unless others are better
and finally have booked FooFoo's to play in the back garden tomorrow for a BBQ.
Life is pretty good with NAIM

Yes,
go for it - I use it, it works fine,
I cleaned about 20 LPs last weekend after a 2nd hand buying spree - they all came up OK.
You might have a bit of a wait from The Cherised Record Company - they seem to stretch themselves a bit thin, and get back orders from the states.

Hi Malcolm
First of all a very Happy Birthday! Glad to hear that you are still well on the vinyl track. I have been using my VPI 16.5 quite a lot since your visit and I continue to be very happy with it. The Loricraft is also supposed to be very good and operates very quietly but it is double the money. Anyway enjoy whatever you decide to do.

You might also want to try Phonography in Ringwood 01425 461 230. They are dealers for VPI and you might get a better price there.

Thanks for letting us come to your BBQ. The food, beer and company were all excellent.
We all enjoyed the FooFoos, Hannah had a good bop.
Look forward to having a chance to hear some more music through your kit.
Probably see you in the PoW soon.
Enjoy the Old Ales
