CD 5 comes with grey or black SNAIC ?

I was wondering because I bought mine by the end of july. It's a model with no RC5 input which means it's from before april 2001
Were there improvements in more than a year in CD 5?
...and my dealer's back from holiday tomorrow...

What´s the difference?A signal lead is a cable connection,no?I know that SNAIC are Naim cables interconnection

The CD5 should come with a grey cable with what a number of people say is a slight lavender tinge. Th cable has 5-pin DIN (180 degrees?) at each end. If you don't have a Naim preamp, it may have a different cable, but it's not from Naim.

I PURCHASED ACD5 WHEN THEY FIRST CAME OUT AND SUBSEQUENTLY SOLD IT WHEN I DEMO'D IT AGAINST A NON NAIM PLAYER BOUGHT SECONDHAND. A FEW MONTHS AGO I TRYED A NEW (CURRENT AT THE TIME ) CD5 AND FOUND IT TO BE PREFERRABLE AND SUBSEQUENTLY BOUGHT IT. I DID NOT HEAR THE THE TWO VINTAGES TOGETHER.BUT THERE IS A DIFFERENCE( SUBTLE) I THINK A REALISM ABOUT THE LATER MODEL.I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THERE ARE ONLY A FEW COMPONENT CHANGES/UPGRADES THOUGH. ADD A HICAP THOUGH AND I THINK THE NEWER MODEL RESPONDS BETTER THAN THE FIRST ONES
