Gonks, mascots and teddy bears

Does qualification as a hi-fi geek require some form of the above on your system, and does it improve the sound?

Gonks? How old are you?

Providing the mascot is worth more than the entire system, it will be in keeping with the spirit of things and therefore acceptable in a hifi sense.

H,
Yes that does rather give my age away. The kids think I am from a different planet when I talk about daps and plimsoles instead of trainers! Totally random dad.
Regards
Nic

At one point I did have a small Buddha on my CD3.5, which I found improved the sound. The case was quite thin and the Buddha on a blob of Blu-Tak stopped the top surface resonating. I don't have the same problem with my CDS1. I guess that isn't what you mean though

You can't be that old - I spent my early years not that far away from where you live, and the footwear you describe were called sandshoes

As for mascots, I have a little bear in an MG jumper. His role is to teach the bass how to growl

Cheers

Gonks(?), mascots, and teddy bears are out.
Totems, fetishes, and mojos are in.
