Record shop in East Finchley. One man and his dog, great choice

Discovered a hidden gem today. Independent 2nd hand record shop in East Finchley (north of the main intersection). Great choice of jazz lp's, e.g. blue note, ECM etc. Some African too and
the usual rock albums. Decent reggae choice too.

Shame, like so many record shops, it could be a bit tidier. Probably too much stock (less would make it easier to browse). Unlike some record (and bike) shops there is no attitude, just good natural service, with Alan giving recommendations if asked.

We should support such emporiums before they die off.

Admittedly I haven't been back to East Finchley for nearly 30 years, but I can't see a record shop working there - it's not much of a shopping area. Sadly.

Back in the 70s I used to work in a record shop in East Finchley called Harum Records. Even back then it struggled badly and closed after a couple of years. We also used to get a number of nutjobs from Friern Barnet (which I think is closed now) and you had to keep your eyes peeled in case you got trapped into a surreal conversation for a couple of hours!

Nice one Warwick, that's just up the North Circ for me. I might just take a look.

went there today and it was closed - hope the guy was just late in opening up and not gone to the wall like so many have.
p.s. the shop is just SOUTH on the high rd east finchley (A1000)heading into town from nth circ junction.
2 doors from HSS hire shop.
