I thought I'd raise the tone of the forum and post a thread celebrating the wonderful career of the UK's foremost ballerina of modern times....

Your motives are unimpeachable either way! She is lovely looking girl and has been a fabulous performer. I think like many in her profession the stresses and strains on the body have taken their toll of her physical wellbeing. No doubt she will flourish in some other field of endeavour now.

I've just been told that I'm going to see Darcey Bussell and Katherine Jenkins perform together in December.

That is certainly something to look forward to.

Doesn't that strike you as DB selling out, Chris? Performing with the Warbling Barbie!

Just for you graham55.

Thanks for that. She can start trying to develop those bee stings now that she's given up on her former career!

What bee stings?

This is even better than talking about SBLs...

Too androgynous for my liking I'm afraid, as is true of most modern ballerinas. I also find DB a bit of a graceless duckling when on point...she waddles rather than flows...

I tend to agree, more Kylie than Deborah Bull but never the less she has her followers.
