"The Music"

My son attended the Leeds 2003 festival and claimed that "The Music" were easily the best band there. Anyone come across them, what do you think?

Loads to listen to at:

Loud, fast and frantic psychedelia!
Mick need not apply, but I figure Nick Lees and others will love it.

I didn't make it to Reading, but they appeared at Glastonbury in place of Zwan and were excellent. The lead singer's vocals are a bit whiney on record compared to live, but it's still damn good.
I got the double vinyl for a fiver 2nd hand in MVE London - bargain - it's heavy slabs and nicely packaged.

I saw these at the Brixton academy the last time they appeared there, and they were excellent.
With their heavy guitar sound I had expected the lead singer to get drowned out, but he was spot on, and the live set impressed me even more than the recording. I can't wait to see the again.
The certainly produce a lot of energy and volume. It was a pity that I couldn't match them (I only lasted 2 songs in the mosh pit before retiring to the bar at the back).
Andy.

I have had them played to me by a mate who is really into them, but it doesn't work with me. Maybe I need to take it away and play it for a while, but first signs are not too good. Like everyone seems to like Elbow, and I left and went to the bar instead. Like Andy, I quite like going to the bar instead of leaving, just to make a show of saying "I think this is bollox".
Too much good stuff out there at the moment...think I'll give The Music a miss.
