Pair of 360 watt active speakers for £9.99

They go down to 30 Hz as well!

?

How do they get away with it

'Cos they are utter tripe?

big grin

!!! There's always money somewhere for the next upgrade... !!!

Either that description is clearly misleading or......those speakers are in fact 6 feet high aerospace inspired designs that have more in common with the space shuttle than a plastic knife and fork.

The choice is yours. Choose optimism!

PS

What's your source J.N.? Don't forget source first and all that stuff - what's the rest of your system? It may be better to spend funds upfront - decent music maybe big grin

I'm sure they could very easily achieve that low frequency level but surely they must come with at least 5 stages of Mana... razz

PMPO rather then RMS

A very different measurement.

A CDS II is the source. Lovely simple system.

I wasn't entirely happy until I got the speakers on 47 levels of Mana.

Now the sound is superb, but I can't reach the volume control.

Dear J.N.,

I am sure that if you were to carefully listen you would realise that 43 levels of mana represents the perfect balance between cost and sonics.

Any less is not enough and any more just shows you have more money than sense.

I have spent 3 years fourteen days 8 hours and 21 minutes auditionong the many facets of mana and have concluded that 43 is the way to go.

I am saving up to buy the hifi to put on it as my bedside clock radio is all that i have at the moment.

Actually, PMPO = Peak Momentary Performance Output.

Usually used in computer systems and nowhere else. ( that I have seen or heard of )
This is a totally different rating system. It specs what the MAXIMUM possible output is under perfect conditions at one frequency. And we all know how easy it is to get perfect conditions, and who needs all those frequencies fouling up the place. Basically it is a waste of ink, but for the unwashed masses, looks impressive - more is better no?

No idea what the formula is or how it relates to any other formula / rating ie RMS/root mean square which is continuous ( over seveal cycles anyway ) at various frequencies.

Am going from memory here, please correct if my memory has abended.

michael
