Well Wasps may be out of the Heineken Cup, but at least QPR got a victory today and are now up to 17th, just ahead of the tweeters!
That 'strongest team in the division' position seems such a long time ago now.
Champions League by 2012!

Did Denis report on the Arsenal reserves beating Spurs then?

Posted on: 22 January 2008 by nicnaim
Even though it was the edited highlights, Spurs looked pretty impressive, and Jenas looked like he was back to his best. Only hope the Toon do as well against the Arse next week!

Spurs5-1Arsenal! This is not dreaming but a reality. Although it took some time for us to beat Arsenal (many years)and the extra is we are going to Wembley, from gloom to glory. Ofcourse there is a little matter of beating Chelsea but I have great faith in Ramos to organize this victory (barring any injuries).

Nice to see it was too. Congratulations to the long-suffering Spurs fans out there!

I've been working from home this week and have been out of the line of fire

I've been working from home this week and have been out of the line of fire. Well I have to admit that Spurs were far superior on the night. Having scored so early Spurs never looked like they would let it slip away. After 9 years of not beating us, it had to happen some time. But 5-1, I bet Tony Adams was drowning his sorrows in Sparklimg Water. I'm off to the Emirates on Saturday and hoping we can inflict the same score to dowse the flame of Dicuss's Messiah.
AAAAGHHH Denis my good man Diccus is a Mackem! (albeit a good natured one) OUR Messiah is the ex Red Devil! .....But do have a word with Mr Wenger and ensure he doesn't piss about with the side again on Saturday ...let's see the other Messiah suffer!!!

Jet,
It was only a question of who got their first, I've been playing football tonight, so thanks for sorting Denis out!
Poor Diccus, mistaken for a "Barcode". Could have fun with that when I see him on Sunday. Depends of course on which Arsenal turns up on Saturday, and whether the Keegan effect is in full swing yet.
Regards

Dicuss,
I apologise unreservedly
. Two red faces in one night, time for bed I think. Just as well you are humble and have a wicked sense of humour eh!

Sorry chaps missed this one.
Actually denis is sort of correct I am a great lover of all things Newcastle. I love the Quayside, the links with Baltic and Sage, the music scene, the restaurants, the nightlife, the shops (tho i'm not big on them), the vibe, the culture and the pubs.
Their is very little I don't like about Newcastle, just The footy team, Shearer and Keegan
Come on Sunderland

....So NUFC, BORO + SAFC all together below midtable with 4 points between us ....who'd have thunk it?

The NUFC strategy must now be to finish above Sunderland or face complete derision from their faithful

yes very happy hammers, the place erupted at the end !!
mark noble is fast growing in stature and confidence unlike the hapless rigamortis (boamorte) who was booed off when subbed which makes me think his days at upton spark are numbered.
thank god!!

Hi again Dave.
Rumours of Ashton being shown the door as well. It seems a shame to see him go, but he still looked way off the pace last time out. Do you think we'll keep him? Can we afford to offload 2 strikers? (even if one on 'em is rigamortis?)
