I know Jet,

Just not today, please! We really need the three points but I have a feeling it will be a draw, with a knock on effect from our disappointment against Fiorentina. There might be a few changes to our team today.

What a great day for the FA Cup - Saturday threw up the best two quarter final matches I've seen in years with great results for English football.

I think it would be great to see the Tykes win the FA Cup, but as the old saying goes the team that beats Ipswich wins the cup

- so that means Portsmouth, who were dead lucky to beat the Tractor Boys, but good luck to them (except Joe Jordan who will never be welcome at Portman Road until he changes his attitude) I thought Pompey thoroughly deserved their win at Old Trafford (decent referee too IMHO who got the crucial decisions spot on).

However, I'm sure all Tractor Boys would like to the Tykes lift the trophy. I really thought they were magnificent against Chelsea. If I were they then I be celebrating for the next three or four days and wouldn't either bother with the Tuesday night game against whoever ... just think about Wembley and don't worry about the points on Tuesday just let the other team have them this once.

ATB Rotf

A great day for sport really - shame about England though: I had expected them to hang on for a draw, but the batting collapse in the fourth innings was not unexpected.

Had to look it up because I'd forgotten ... oh yes it's those Tykes who should be thinking of Wembley I hope.

Middlesborough 0 - 2 Cardiff already! Is yet another FA Cup upset on the cards?!
Posted on: 09 March 2008 by Chillkram
Yup. Another shock!
Posted on: 09 March 2008 by Chillkram
Ooh, 4-0 again! Munch, Scotty - more pain for the Hammers. It looks like Curbs is challenging King Kev in a 'who can concede the most goals' competition!

Mark can you really call that a shock, if you new not who the premiership club was who would you have picked?

Borro' were terrible and Gareth Southgate too inexperienced to sort it out at half time. Well done Dave Jones and Cardiff City playing football with the ball on the deck.

Not a good weekend for the top teams. Only Liverpool won, Arsenal could only draw and Man Utd, Chelsea and QPR all lost!

matt,

i also wish i was wrong about the hammers more often too! ....cue more doom n gloom........
curbs WONT be there next year nor will ASHTON.
But perhaps the biggest development will be the new owners will sell up and we WONT BE GETTING A NEW STADIUM.
theres a hell of a lot going on behind the scenes at west ham.....so lets wait and see.
blackburn at home on saturday and i predict another defeat. but lets hope im wrong as we need to steady the ship fast.
regards, dave

Barnsley v Cardiff
Pompey v West Brom

Surely this is the best FA Cup year in 30 years (since '78).
