Decoupling crossovers on SBL

If I read correctly it works on Briks any experience of this with SBLs?

The gang at Audio WOrks use a form of decoupling in terms of using only the bottom screws to support the SBL PXO, leaving it to float back (at the top edge) from the cabinet (it's constrained by the bass/mid and tweeter cables)... YMMV.

I tried decoupling the crossovers on my SBLs. Whichever method I tried - two screws at the bottom or all four undone, it was IMO worse. The best thing to do is get rid of the passive crossover altogether - go active. Now that's a real improvement.

Looky here it makes no difference, if you want to leave it hanging do, if you want to use the supplied screws and rubbers do, it will make no difference.

Hi all:

I have Credos and leave the X-overs hanging by their leads but insert a small (1" long) piece of 3/4" diameter heat shrink as a buffer between the X-overs' plastic case and the speaker cabinet to stop them touching and 'rattling'. There is an obvious improvement to detail and midrange timing, i.e. altogether less smearing. Well worth 10 minutes effort.
