I haven't heard it (yet), but given that the remaster (2001) was good, I suspect the recent SHM CD will take some beating. Prices around £30 inc post.

Hi 151
CDuniverse appears to still have it available on backorder.
Of course that doesn't mean they can really source it.

The third one is a 'Buy it Now' auction for approx' £25 inc' P&P.
IMHO this is a good price considering it has been selling for £17 to £29 on eBay ex' P&P,
& the seller has lots of all good feedback.

Thanks for putting me onto this CD. I have the original LP and didn't realise that there was an extended version available.
Have just ordered mine from a French website called Jazzy, similar price to that mentioned by 555.

They do indeed!
Whether or not Live at Leeds will show up here is debatable. They accepted my order but now showing as out of stock.

I think I ordered Live at Leeds! They accepted my order but now showing it as out of stock. Hey ho. Thanks for the link John. (I think!)

The Jazzybird system is that after you have made the order, you should get an e-mail confirming that the CD is available before asking you. Only at that point do you pay them.
So if you have not yet received this confirmation that it is available, you shouldn't have been charged yet either.
Some peace of mind, I hope... (Having just spent my hard-earned there as well...)
James

Haven't heard the SHM but the original on Polydor with the fold out poster is the best version I have heard. The dlx is great if you want the extra tracks.

Well, mine's arrived - and Jazzybird, France are a shop to be commended. Excellently packaged and recorded delivery to ensure arrival.
The sound of this SHM CD is excellent. It seems to be the 1995 remastering. I can't compare with any other CD as I haven't heard any, but it stacks up very well against the original vinyl. Not least because it has twice as many songs as the original vinyl (which is reason in itself to get a CD).
One really impressive thing is a sense of the acoustic environment in which the gig is happening. I always felt the LP sounded a bit like a stadium rock live recording (Elland Road?), recorded from the back. It is clearly the more intimate surroundings of a hall in Leeds University 1970.
Recommended!
