Playing Downloaded FLAC files on my HDX

Posted by: GoBlue on 18 June 2010

Hi everyone. I am new to the Naim forum but have had Naim stereo equipment for over 18 years. I just upgraded my system to the Naim HDX, DAC + XPS, NAC 252 Pre-amp + Supercap, NAP 250.2 Power Amp and Sonus Faber Cremona Auditor M speakers. The system sounds unbelievable with CDs, better with LPs and even better on Hi Res recordings. I would like to purchase some Hi Resolution recordings on the internet but am unsure of the best, most efficient path of getting the music to my system once the download is completed and saved on the desktop of my MacBook. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum, I hope you enjoy your stay (though sometimes it can get a bit rough, but don't let that deter you because they don't mean it nasty).

I would like to suggest you post this message in the "Distributed Audio" or "Hifi Corner" subforums.

You will find several knowledgable people over there who have HDX's that can help you.

This subforum is 'only' about music itself so you wouldn't necessarily meet the right people over here.

Unfortunately I don't have an HDX (I wish I had a setup like yours Eek ) so can't help you directly with that issue.

Cheers
