Anyone here heard of her? I just discovered her 28 minutes into Bob Harris' Radio 2 Saturday show. Check out 'Nickel and a Nail' on iPlayer.

Bloody fabulous. Ruthie has a great bluesy/soulful voice and Robben Ford on guitar sets up a fantastic groove. My copy is on order from the States.

Don't bother with a UK/EU copy. It's on a different label. They almost always sound inferior to the home grown USA article.

PatK should be along soon, he is a fan of RF and posts a number of her recordings in the "what are you listening" thread. She is currently touring US with Robben Ford and Jorma Kaukonen. There are some free streaming shows of her at NPR and Mountainstage.
