I have been enjoying his two accoustic albums - superb.....

Can anyone recommend any of his studio albums?

I have Pretender and Running on Empty, enjoy both of them. He has always put out great sounding albums tho some people don't care for his inward looking I think he's great and has kept his head even tho he's been thru a lot in life. He as part f the California scene in the 70s and 80s, long track record.

I presume you have Saturate Before Using

I think Running on Empty is right up up with the best live albums ever. Some songs recorded on stage, some in hotel rooms, one, Nothing But Time, on the tour bus with the rumble of the engine in the background. Great stuff, I never tire of it.

Of the studio albums, Late For the Sky and Hold On are also worth a look.

Naked Ride Home is definitely worth a look (if that doesn't count as one of your acoustic titles). I also seem to remember it being used to demonstrate the HDX last year

I like everything up to and icl Hold Out. The rest I can take it or leave.

Song For and Late are essential listening.

Can't wait to see him in April in Edinburgh.

JB is one of a select elite who for me, has consistently produced great music since the seventies, and continues to do so.

'For a Dancer' is heartbreaking. 'Late for the Sky' is used to magnificent effect in the film 'Taxi Driver'. I love 'The Pretender' album, and coming up to date, I reckon that 'I'm Alive' and 'The Naked Ride Home' are superb from start to finish.

Indeed one of the great artists of our time.
First three albums are my favorites.
"Saturate before Using" "Late for the Sky" and "For Everyman" The "Solo Acoustic Volume 1 and 2" excellent as you mentioned.
Very much worth a listen and available on vinyl is his latest "Time the Conqueror"

Saw Jackson Browne Halloween Night 1974, Atlanta, Georgia Civic Center. He played on a bill with Bonnie Raitt. At least in the top 5 shows I have ever seen. Only 300 people in attendance.
