CDI Squashed rubbers

Thanks in advance

You can insert a round pin in the rubber's hole, large enough to stretch it just a little, leave this for 2 or 3 days.
You can also clean the rubber with a "rubber renewer" BUT TAKE CARE this stuff is corrosive for plastic.

To that end remove it and rotate then glue back in place.
Or buy a new one from naim, about 12 quid I think.
There's another way involving a razor blade and taking the whole puck apart, but it's probably not recommended.
Rubbers are glued on so can't be rotated. Using cocktail sticks thro rubbers holes limited sucess 3 hour listening session and they are flat again looks like its a new tophat.

I would strongly advise against playing your CDI in its present condition. The disk slippage will cause excessive wear of the Nextel ring on the transport hub and lead to the transport becoming unrepairable.
After you have acquired a replacement puck, try to avoid leaving CDs in the player between listening sessions. This will preserve the shape of the rubber ring and prolong the useable service life of the puck.
Craig
Order 2 new pucks. Don't use the CDI until you receive them. The nextel ring will be damaged. It will cost you a fortune to replace and you will lose your CDI for one month.
NEVER LEAVE A NON-PLAYING DISK IN A NAIM CD PLAYER.

Hoping for a positive reply

I small 'rubber sized' lump opposite the squashed rubber ring. When it flattens, you can reshape it!!
Give it a try..
