110 AMP quit working

Posted by: seamus88 on 29 February 2004

Hello all,

My recently recapped 110 quit working. Well sort of. It seems that when I remove the fuse it works. Well, some of time. It seems as though when I "wiggle" the AC cord it works. Well, some of the time. I opened the amp and could not find any "loose" wires. Any ideas?

Thanks, Seamus

If the recap job has been done recently through Dimexs, it's under waranty. Call your dealer/Dimexs, we'll check it.

Replaced the fuse. Now works. What could cause a fuse to go?

Manufacturing fault - fuses aren't perfect, they sometimes do this without anything overloading them.
