Galactic Ramble
Posted by: manxman on 17 April 2009
I know quite a few people on here share my passion for late sixties and early seventies underground rock music. For those who do, I (and a few friends) have a new book out next week called "Galactic Ramble" that should be the most comprehensive reference work on the subject.
If anybody has any questions, please feel free to ask them here.
Alternatively, the publisher has come up with quite a good website for it:

Amazon were selling it at quite a good discount, the last time I looked!

I expect you'll get the inevitable "Why haven't you listed XXX?" but I must say it looks fascinating.
On that theme, why no mention of Strife, a band I saw at Slough College in the early 70s, who made a couple of decent albums, one of which is "Back To Thunder" that I just happen to have a copy of on vinyl...

A quick Google search revealed that "Back To Thunder" (which I'd never heard of before) was released in 1978. The main focus of the book is on albums released between 1967 and 1974, with later LPs only included in they're of particular interest to collectors. The latest album of all, by the way, is Revolutionary Army Of The Infant Jesus's sublime "The Gift Of Tears", from 1987.
