Watched it last night. Striking in places but laugh-at-loud pretentious at times for me. The 'oirish' bits were really irritating. Someone even bursts into 'Danny Boy' at one point! William Hurt was ridiculously hammy too.
'The Three Burials Of Melquiades Estrada', 'The Assasination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford' and even 'There Will Be Blood' I think are far more succesful 'existential westerns'. I quite liked 'Serpahim Falls' too.
