I never thought I'd say this

But I can't believe what young people are wearing these days. It's worse than what passes for a flash car with them.
What have I become? Youth is a foreign country.

I am sure it is safe to say we took our turn when we were younger. And no I will not reveal what I used to wear.

I suspect the same phenomena occurs in the UK - that of young persons driving around in what, at base, are really crap cars but which have been overpainted with lovely pearl paint, that sport ridiculously expensive wheels attached to modified suspensions and which have engines brought up to race standard but which are not raced.
I personally know of a few that have spent enough on their cars to have bought a late '70s Porsche 911 - which is what I would have done because I would then have a late '70s Porsche 911 instead of a Honda.

Deane,
I work in one of Scotland's largest colleges which has a proportionally large population of Ned students. I see so many ancient, souped up wrecks being driven completely irresponsibly in unsafe conditions you wouldn't believe it. So I know what you're saying there.
And I confess that's something I didn't ever get up to, even in my most irresponsible days.
