Ideal world?

Folks, excluding equipment, what would be your ideal listening room for its acoustic properties?
How big?
Carpets or wood?
Curtains or blinds?
Wallpaper or paint (or carpet if you're so inclined)?
Where would you place your rack in relation to your speakers?

After careful consideration, mathematical calculations and drawings etc, I have come to the conclusion that Britney Spears* bedroom be the ideal place for my speakers(briks):The left one at her feet, and the right one on line with her head...and one must assume the listener be facing midway between the two!
