Wallace and Gromit The Curse of the Were Rabbit

Went to see this yesterday with my 7 year old son. He'd already seen it twice and was determined that I should watch as well.
This film is still whizzing around my head the day afterwards. There are so many jokes flying around I'm still laughing about them.
Lots of successful TV ideas fail to transfer to the big screen. This one does, spectacularly so.
Go see.

Agree. I liked the little 'in-jokes'. The fridge called 'Smug' for instance.
As one review I read commented, how can a plasticene dog convey so many emotions without even having a mouth?

Richard,
Agreed. The wife and I took the kids recently, one of the best films I've seen in ages. Tears rolling down cheeks funny. A bit like the Life of Brian, in that several viewings will be required to catch the bits you missed because you were laughing so much.
Regards
Nic

These were just two of the lines that got me going;

quote:Lady Tottington: [over the phone] I have the most terrible rabbit infestation.
Wallace: Certainly, M'um, we'll be there in
[hits the control panel and gets dragged up through the ceiling]
Wallace: ahhhh!
Lady Tottington: In an hour? But I can't wait that long!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PC McIntosh: [the townspeople are discussing the attack on their vegetables] If you ask me, this was arson.
Townspeople: [gasp]
PC McIntosh: Yeah. Someone arsin' around!

For me it was the facial expressions and visual humour - especially regarding the rabbits.
I just can't help cracking up at the memory of the rabbit's response to a being shown a carrot it had been 'trained' not to eat.
Priceless!!

Yeah, very funny! Funniest movement for me was when the two dogs were fighting on the fairground plane, and then it stopped cos it ran out of money ...

Brilliant, my wife and I were the ONLY ones laughing in a US theatre! Quite how they expect Americans to understand phrases like 'give it some more welly' and 'steady on Gromit or you'll buckle me trunions' is beyond me but I'm glad they left them in. Some CGI is use but it's kept to a minimum and the film just everything taht is great about British humour.
Bun-Vac 2000 anyone???
Nick Park is a national treasure IMHO

I liked seeing it the day they first showed it in Bristol, and look forward to purchasing/playing DVD when released.
I am biased, as I buy all the Aardman DVD stuff available and like cheese.
Apart from an old car and some sherry, Aardman is probably the only good thing apart from balloons with Bristol connections.

I have to say that creature comforts is also pretty compulsive viewing in my house...

I love the way they don't miss a trick where a litle extra humour can be milked out of a scene. Sheer genius!
I believe they had a bad fire and lost most of their stuff.
