best compromise on heavy voltage variation
Posted by: mexico on 07 May 2003
Hi everybody!
I have been wondering why my system sometimes sounds dull and uninvolving. One friend sugest that the problem is the extremely high variations in electricity here in México. I checked my house mains and found that the voltage varies from 105v to 130v (it should be 117 V flat).
Altough naim doesn´t reccomend line conditioner or "stabilizers", I am worried that my system is getting damaged every time I turn it on.
I will apreciate your advice or comments about the possible compromise in sound vs. possible damage.
Regards from sunny México
