Alice Cooper - Welcome To My Nightmare (BBC4 9th June)

Posted by: SteveGa on 05 June 2007

Saturday 9th June 2007, 22:10 to 23:10

Classic 1970s concert by the king of shock rock, Alice Cooper. Featuring classic songs such as I'm Eighteen, School's Out, No More Mr Nice Guy and the trademark title track, the nightmare vividly comes to life on the rock stage, bringing forth a plethora of skeletons, the magic movie screen and the horrormeister Vincent Price.

Steve Thanks. Fantastic - I'll definitely be tuned in - I wonder if he'll do Cold Ethyl.

Took a trip to see him at the old Glasgow Green's or (Apollo) in the '70's. He was hanging himself on stage at the time.

Schools Out was our anthem when it was issued as a single.

Here's Alice again with the definitive version of Welcome To My Nightmare - at its most scary.

And a great version of School's Out

Good show - though my ageing TV was showing its limitations.

Looks like I'm the only one here who was very dissapointed. I used to be a great fan of Alice and still have a few of his very early LPs, Love it to death, Killer, Schools Out, Billion Dollar Babies.
These still sound good today specially Love it to death. The band I thought were great but Alice's
voice is about done in my view.
