Is there a difference between a 5-5 din and a 240 5-5 din. Can I use the Snaic supplied with a Stageline to connect the CD5 to FC2 ?
Thanks

The 240 refers to 240 degrees, i.e. the 5 pins cover an arc of 240 degrees in the connector. If the SNAIC you refer to connects into the relevant sockets on the FC-2 and CD-5 then I don't see why it couldn't be used, provided that the relevant pins are connected electrically.

There are two types of 5 pin Sniacs, 180 degree and 240 degree.
The 180 degree Sniacs are for connecting sources to the back of your preamp. The cable is usually thinner on these cables and they are usually grey unless they are non Naim cables.
The 240 degree Sniacs are usually used for connecting power supplies to preamps or CD players. Typically these cables are much thicker and are black, althought he older ones were grey.
The 180ss won't fit into the 240s and vice versa.
IIRC the Flatcap II should have two outputs for 240 degree Snaics, the thicker and black kind. One output can go to the CD5, the other to the Stageline. Both the Stageline and the CD5 should then have 180 degree Sniac outs that go to your pre.
