Martin Taylor… he can play a bit.

‘Songs of Praise’ wouldn’t usually be first choice of TV viewing in the Tibbs household on a Sunday evening, but there I was sat in front of the telly with the remote well out of stretch, as S o P comes on.
Some Welsh opera singer type going by the name of Bryn Terfel (sp?) was strutting his stuff for most of the programme, then, out of the blue comes Martin Taylor playing Amazing Grace on a nylon strung guitar, with Bryn doing the vocals.
It was one of those moments you just had to see and hear... a beautiful musical experience and without the help of any ‘hifi’.
So, two thoughts spring immediately to mind:
1: Martin Taylor really is a great guitarist.
2: You don’t need ‘hifi’ to enjoy music.
