Todays the day for me to open my pressies. I usually give out a list so I am expecting quite a few today. The parcels are all sitting under our tree and I fell like ripping them open to find out what the kids have got me. Terrible isn't it.

I wouldn't worry - it's really dull. I sold mine.
I did get Jazz Soundtracks by Gerry Mulligan - much more like it!

I entirely agree with you on that Nigel.
I have tried it a few times and it has one or two reasonable tracks, but overall there is very little to get excited about. A bit of a case of "Emporor's New Clothes" for me as it seems to be getting so many favourable reviews.
There are also other examples of this type of album that are far better IMHO, e.g Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan
Regards
Richard

I unexpectedly recieved a DMM vinyl copy of Walking into Clarksdale, by Jimmy Page and Robert Plant. I have the album on cassette and have forgotten how good it is.
The album contains the original version of Read the letter from the Raising Sands album

Band of Horses - Cease to Begin
Beirut - The Flying Club Cup
both of the above seen on Later with Jools and both very different yet interesting.
Justin Currie - What is Love for?
Front man of Del Amitri being rather pessimistic but good.
Steve Jansen - Slope
with contributions from brother David Sylvian (not listened enough for an opinion yet)
