Neil Young, the five tracks mentioned before are all that were broadcast according to the listing on Dime.

1. Needle and the Damage Done
2. Words
3. Get Behind The Wheel
4. Rockin' in the Free World
5. A Day in the Life

As for Bruce Springsteen, his set was:

Coma Girl (by Joe Strummer)
Badlands*
Prove It All Night*
My Lucky Day
Outlaw Pete*
Out In The Street*
Working On A Dream*
Seeds
Johnny 99
The Ghost Of Tom Joad
Raise Your Hand
Because The Night
No Surrender (with The Gaslight Anthem)
Waitin' On A Sunny Day*
The Promised Land*
The River*
Radio Nowhere
Lonesome Day
The Rising
Born To Run*

Hard Times
Thunder Road*
Land Of Hope And Dreams
American Land*
Glory Days*
Dancing In The Dark*

(Thanks to Ewen).

* These are the tracks that were broadcast, again the source is Dime.

It sounds like nothing else will be broadcast by Neil Young, but it is always possible that other tracks will be broadcast by Bruce Springsteen and other artists on the Radio1 best of Glastonbury that is usually on Steve Lamac's show on Monday, and other DJ's will probably be playing some clips from the festival too.

I watched the Neil Young and Bruce broadcasts and much preferred the NY, albeit we only got five songs. There was also something much better about the sound - I find much of Bruce's recent recorded work and the one concert of his I have experienced somewhat muddy and low fidelity by comparison!

Out of interest, can someone enlighten me which original recording 'Words' comes from? I thought I had all NY's album output but I can only find on the live 'Road Rock'.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOGIE!

And I was delighted also to hear the one Quo LP I have described by Mark Radcliffe as "a serious rock album". (So much for so-called 3-chord wonders!! Red Face)

We all mistakes, forgive me

Seen a bit of Glasto - though much of it is not my cup of Horlicks, I have to admit to enjoying Graham Nash (those other dudes with him didn't look like members of the Hollies though), the Quo and Blur

Sound for Springsteen was atrocious. From a mike in the field rather than the desk! However, my patience with him has now expired. His live magic is now perspiration rather than inspiration. The reason he got to you live was because he told personal stories addressed to one person. Now he's reliant on James Brown large cliche stuff. Sad.

Disagree entirely except for the sound. I thought he was superb and can't wait for Hampden in a couple of weeks. Surely you can't blame him for the poor sound from a BBC broadcast. You shouldn't patronise people like this. Others liked him, you didn't. BFD.

I remember seeing them when they had just released this album. Great boogie band all the heads in the audience were going at it.

See they are going to have to pay a fine of £3000 as Brucie played past the deadline and when Macca did it he paid for it but Michael Eavis has said that he is going to pay it as the last 10 minutes or so was the best ever at Glastonbury.

I see that next year being the 40th anniversary Mike Eavis has already claimed to have 3 of 4 BIG headline acts he wanted signed up ...

gotta hope the final one of those 4 is Medicine Head as I think they'll storm it !

Frown

damn ! .... I was rather hoping for something like Brinsley Schwarz , T'pau , Howard Jones and Medicine Head when he said 4 BIG artists

still , at least ELP could be entertaining - ?

I wouldn't walk across the road to see the other 3

Bon Iver - I enjoyed the couple of tracks skinny love & the wolves. I thought he recorded his debut album solo, but felt the band complemented the songs very well. I'll review my HD recordings to see if there were any other songs. Nothing seem to be available on iPlayer, maybe later? I guess I will buy his stuff on the strength of these performances.

Anyone who hadn't heard CSN in 1969/70 would wonder why on earth they were there. If you have a group famed for its 3-part harmonies and then only one of them can still sing (Crosby - wonderfully), it's a bit tragic. I had to turn off when Stills started 'For What it's Worth' - I don't know what happened to him, but it ain't pretty.

Nah it's probably Girls Aloud.

From "Dog of Two Head" thru to "Blue For You" the Quo were undeniably one of Britain's best rock bands ....ignore the risible singles that followed in the 80's and 90's not to mention the Coronation Street appearences and wallow in the sheer bounce of "Caroline", "Paper Plane" "Don't Waste My Time" etc.
Piledriver and Hello being (for me) their best 2 albums......Quo were fun end of.
