Your Favourite Band Are Playing... or what abou a gig guide?

Groovers

As I continue to miss gigs by bands that interest me, the thought occurs that, as I tend to find out about it here, this would be a good place to post news about upcoming gigs.

For example, The Australian Pink Floyd are on tour right now and playing High Wycombe tonight, Oxford saturday.

Public spirited of me, I know, I know

Jack,

Thanks for the reply, I'm glad they are worth seeing as the real deal don't tour enough for our enjoyment.I see that ND are roughly in your area (Chester & Bilston) and their only Southern gig at the moment is in Sicily Smile. I will definatley see ND when they hit London/Darrn Sarf next time. I'm sure smaller venue's must enhance the shows appeal.

I find this website useful for Gigs in the UK;
http://www.seetickets.com/xxxtickets/index.asp

Simply do a search on your nearest large town/city to see who will be playing in the next few months. It doesn't cover Jazz gigs, unfortunately, but is good for rock.

I went to the Brighton date of the London Sinfonietta, Squarepusher, & Jamie Lidell tour last night. It was pretty epic, and I wish I'd taken a set of ear plugs to defend againt the hi frequency assault of Squarepusher's set. If anyone is going to the Liverpool date tonight, I also suggest taking a pocketful of tamazepam to sedate the pillheads who didn't know what they were getting into, and don't have the capacity to sit through anything less than 180bpm.
