Cheap Sennheiser HD 580's for £95

Anyone like to comment on how much sound these 'phones leak out into the room?

(Can the Missus watch the telly at the same time without either of disturbing the other?)

Not quite right Nick - the Sennheiser HD590s are also open back, but have a little more bass and treble at the expense maybe of the purity of HD580 or HD600. Perhaps the closest thing to a closed-back HD580 would be the HD265, available at silly money at amongst other places, www.pricebuster.org.uk.

Thanks Guys - sounds like I'm better off sticking to my Grados (which do leak!!). I've got a long interconnect from my 82, so I'm going to try moving my Rega Ear 10 feet further down the room away from the TV
