Yep - satisfied with the draw here too. It could have been a LOT tougher.
The Inter "closed-doors" scenario could also be very interesting.
I have heard that there could be grounds for having only away support in the stadiums as no fans wil also penalise the visiting teams.
Whatever happens, it should make for an entertaining winter for any Rangers fan.

Inter are asking eufa if they can play all their matches away instead of in an empty stadium, or at a neutral venue.
Can't believe Dundee Utd. have just blown a 2-0 lead and joined Celtic in going out of Europe to a pub team.

Correct colours - wrong team. Please gloat at your own team's demise.

LTD won't it be ironic if this shambles of a team led by a manager who's not up to the job gets further than several far better teams should have done.

Keep Believing !!!!!!

Unbelievably they've done it. The worst Rangers team in a good many years has done what a few genuinely good squads, including the likes of Gazza and Laudrup for example, never managed. We've qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League.
I feel a few drams coming on!

Well done to Rangers and a bit of Ok-ness for their fans.
Last year IMO Liverpool were often not very good and they somehow brilliantly won the thing.

Malky, Malky. Wherefore art though Malky ?
Remember it was YOUR beloved captain that stated "categorically" that qualifying for the second phase of the Champion's League was a greater achievement than getting to the final of the UEFA Cup.
.... and then there is tomorrow.

Funny, last time I looked at the table (30 seconds ago) there was only ONE point difference between first and second place.
.... or are you THAT paranoid ?

Malky how does it feel to know that the worst Rangers squad in living memory has done what your best squad in 40 years or so didn't manage? Not only that but that a chump of a manager, working under severe financial restrictions, outperformed saint martin with a load of money?
Puts things into perspective doesn't it? In terms of relative quality I mean.
51-39 BJK.

Glad to see you're upholding your traditions. Revelling in mediocrity.

I thought "Helicopter Sunday" wiped smugness from the "anals" of Celtic's history.

Not revelling in mediocrity at all. Merely reminding you of your place as Scotland's second team.

Dear Tom and Long Time, in the spirit of the season I have sent Gordon some suggestions for his Ipod over Xmas;
Howlin Wolf- Sittin' on top of the world
Tom Jones- Green, green grass of home
Herman's hermits- Something tells me I'm into something good
And, of course, Pogues-Fairytale of New York.
Perhaps you might care to do the same for Alex? Here are a few suggestions;
John Lennon- Happy Xmas (league is over)
John Lennon- Jealous guy-
Kraftwerk- Showroom dummies
Marvin Gaye- Mercy, mercy me (things aint what they used to be)
Oh, and anything by UB40.

Malky,
Don't give up your day job. Making a big assumption here that as a tim you've actually got one.

Why?, do you know of any posts that are about to become vacant?
Posted on: 09 December 2005 by long-time-dead
Can't think of one. Assuming you have not read the statement from David Murray :
The tenure of the Rangers manager has been stated as totally safe for the foreseeable future. Alex McLeish is on a one year rolling contract.
Maybe a trip to the local Sussex Job Centre would be worthwhile if you are looking for one ?
As the say here - JOG ON.
