Distortion on new Norah Jones al***

Posted by: desert rat on 01 March 2004

Has anybody found on their copy that there is distortion on Norah's voice and on some instruments.

I thought it was my system until a friend also discovered this. I wondered if it was on copies sent to the Middle East only or whether others in Europe have found this.

This is an absolute disgrace that EMI have put out a recording like this on one of their top acts.

Karl,

If the latest is "Sounds like home", my copy, bought in Germany, has no distortion. If it did, it might have been more interesting.

regards,

Paul.

Desert Rat:

Yes, my copy here in the States also has distortion on some tracks (the electric guitar on the second track, for example). Interesting aesthetic decision.

Could we swap? My wife bought a copy and every second is super smooth. A little more distortion would liven it up a little.
