Linn Records Downloads - al*** art problems

Posted by: okli on 15 October 2010

Hi,

its my second download from Linn Records and I can't get the album art shown in any control application. I've tried to save a smaller copy of the provided high resolution album cover in JPEG as Folder.jpg and cover.jpg in the albums' folder, but nothing helps so far. The albums are in FLAC format, server is Twonky 5.1.1 (modified NAS distribution). The question is more suitable for linn records support, but perhaps someone here knows some solution.

Thanks,
Ilko

Hi Ilko

I checked using foobar2000 as UPnP browser and Asset as my UPnP server. It only showed album art that was embedded in the flac files.

I only checked on flacs I downloaded from Linn. I noticed that there are a few that don't have the album art embedded, while most of them do.

Adding the album art to the file tags made it show up.

You can use the free tool called mp3tag to add album art into flac files. Give it a try and hopefully this will resolve your issue.

Hi Aleg,

Thanks for the hint - this was indeed the problem. Now I can see the images in Asset and Songbook, but nStream still does not show them. I used the tag editor provided by dbpoweramp to add the album art. I rebuilt the servers' db after I've added the images to be sure nothing is cached in the servers' db. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Ilko
