Here's how to age gracefully in rock 'n' roll

When I was a callow teen back in the late 1970s/ early 80s I used to adore The Slits and played "Cut" endlessly. I loved their angularity, their untutored enthusiasm and the way they broke away from the constrictions of two-chord punk thrash.
They also had bags of attitude and they looked bloody great. I also had a massive crush on [guitarist] Viv Albertine, who was absolutely gorgeous. I actually met her briefly a couple of years back and she was one of the loveliest people I've ever met - interlligent, articulate and graceful. And still amazing looking for her age.
Apart from a couple of gigs with the [not-too-hot] reformed Slits, she's been away from music for a while but it seems she has a new album out soon and she's posted a couple of tracks up on her YouTube channel - they're both pretty good - they can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/user/vivalbertine1
"If Love" I like very much. Looking forward to the album.
And for a woman of 54 I think she still looks awesome.
