two pieces of mdf with pipe insulation in between cut to size under cd 3.5 it drops noise level in background quite a bit and the resolution sounds a lot better anyone tried this?

BOTTOM MDF MIDDLE FOUR PIECES PIPE INSULATION NOT TO ABSORBANT BUT LIGHTWEIGHT AND RIGID TOP MORE MDF 3.5 ON TOP. NO KILLING OF TIMING OR RHYTHM, YOU CAN BUY A FAIR LENGTH FROM ANY DIY STORE MINE COST £2.50P GOOD CHEAP AND EFFECTIVE IMHO
