David Cameron in PM's questions

A confident performance, but I hope he'll give the PM a harder time of it in future. Perhaps better to focus on the areas where he disagrees with the government rather than banging on about the things with which he agrees?

PMQs, I wonder if Paxo will give him a stuffing tonight?

What's the point in disagreeing with all the opposition's opinions. I think he'll gain more respect from voters with agreeing on the agreeable points.

As he said, he's sick of the the Chief Whip shouting like a child.

Yes, but perhaps he should be focusing on the areas where he disagrees with the grinning tosser. If he agrees, it's not really worth banging on about is it?

Not a bad forst performance though, I just hope he plans to give GT some stick in future...

Well he's had plenty of time to prepare - it's been obvious that he was going to win for several weeks. Now give that grinning tosser some stick, stop patting the twat on the back all the damn time!

He's alright is Mr Cameron, although I'd like him a whole lot more if he were atheist!

He should be grateful to someone. Probably the taxman. Cool

Assuming he doesn't live to regret winning...

Why do we put so much faith in those with no track record? What qualifications do we demand of those who apply for the job of professional politician? They wield far more power to affect our world than most other jobs where closely matched qualifications and job experience are expected.

Q: Do they look like they could do the job? Confused

A: You look the part Mr Bliar! You can board the gravy train on Monday. Winker

How do we judge their performance after the job is handed to them on a silver platter?

Just a well-educated twat who wants to tell us all what to do!

I think the best qualification is a minimalistic approach to government, state and taxation, so Mr Cameron is on the right lines at least.

Au contraire, Naim.

How many other jobs have a more comprehensive, difficult or long-winded selection procedure?

Hi Steve, haven't "seen" you for a while!

Regarding the selection of politicians, the exactitude and protraction of the process seems not to have yielded a batch of quality.

Strange but true.

I quite like Cameron although it's early days of course. Too much quality would be a bad thing. The public might start to believe in politics as the all-powerful way to solve all of society's ills, instead of being as healthily sceptical as they are. Imperfection accepted is the enemy of ideology and ideology is, IMO, one of the biggest evils in our history.

Gosh, this is a bit heavy for a Sunday morning.

EW, You haven't seen me much here recently because I've been rather busy. Approaching the release of a brand new design is a hectic time for a small hi-fi company.

Regards
Steve

I look forward to seeing and hearing the results thereof!

Good luck,
