My SNAPs keeps shouting at me

I got a dual rail modded snaps at the weekend (feeding a 42.5 + nap 90 into credos - all fed by a rega p25). It sounds great with some recordings(Neil Young, Stevie Wonder) ie everything is better defined and grooveier - but shouts at me with others (My Bloody Valentine, Aphex Twin, Squarepusher) ie the highs and mids make my ears hurt a bit... which never used to happen.
Do I need to play the "let's shift the speakers around" game?
Or am I just hearing, for the first time, that MBV, AFX and SQPR all produce *really* harsh sounding music?

Wasn't there a thread about it only taking a couple of hours for naim stuff to warm up?
I will give it another 3 days - that will have been a week. If it's still troublesome after that I'll try shoving bits of toast into it and cutting up old wellies for use as supports.
